Academic Writing

My diverse academic coursework has exposed me to a variety of academic writing skills and knowledge. I have instruction in various forms of technical writing, composition, communication writing, journalism, editing, publishing, visual rhetoric, resume writing, ghostwriting, advanced grammar, literature, creative fiction and nonfiction, poetry, writing mentorship, and science writing in technical and narrative forms. Below, I have included unpublished academic essays produced in these courses.

In 2022, I co-authored an essay with Dr. Adam Key of the University of Arkansas at Monticello on queer generosity. This essay is featured in QED: A Journal in GLBTQ Worldmaking.

"Non-Love Letters: Asexualizing Queer Love and Generosity," QED: A Journal in GLBTQ Worldmaking, April 2022

"A Raw Deconstruction: An Analysis of Stream of Consciousness Poetry in Works by E. E. Cummings and Allen Ginsberg" - A comparative essay over the stream of consciousness styles in E. E. Cummings's and Allen Ginsberg's poetry, written for American Literature II.

"Consolidating Sciences in the Writing Center: No More Pickles and Ice Cream" - Writing center research composed for a writing center internship course and later presented at the Alpha Chi National Convention in April 2016.

Research for a proposal over the institution of fees and policies for facility reservations at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, composed for a technical writing course and used by the UAM Office of Special Events to propose to the new chancellor, Dr. Karla Hughes.

"The Era of Universal Engagement: Transcendental Undertones in 'Thanatopsis'” - An essay uncovering the Transcendentalist elements in William Cullen Bryant's poem "Thanatopsis," written for American Literature I.
